Sticker Printing for Artists and Creators in Saudi Arabia: Anime, Laptop Stickers and Sticker Sheets That Sell

Custom Kiss-Cut Stickers by Paper Ink

Laptops covered in anime stickers, water bottles with a funny doodle, journals decorated with your own characters — stickers have become one of the easiest products for Saudi illustrators and content creators to launch: low start-up cost, light shipping, and fans who love to collect.

This guide comes from Paper-Ink, a sticker printing studio in Jeddah with roots in Arabic manga and storytelling. We cover which cut type suits which product, the right material for laptops and bottles, how to prepare your file, and how to sell without running into copyright trouble.

Laptop, phone and bottle stickers: material matters more than art

A sticker on a laptop or bottle faces daily handling, heat and water, so it needs to be waterproof vinyl, not paper. Paper stickers are great for planners, journals and packaging, but they won’t last on a bottle. See our professional vinyl sticker printing option.

Prepare your artwork right the first time

  1. Resolution: export at 300 DPI at actual size, or use vector files.
  2. White border: a 2–3 mm white outline around the character looks professional and protects fine details like hair and fingers during cutting.
  3. Cut line: keep the cut path smooth; very sharp corners and tiny inner details may tear.
  4. Colours: neon and very bright screen colours print softer. Order a small test run before scaling up.
  5. Safe margin: keep text and important details away from the cut edge.

Anime stickers: respect character copyright

Famous anime, manga and game characters belong to their owners. Selling stickers with their artwork or logos without permission can lead to intellectual property issues. Learn about copyright in the Kingdom from the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property.

The safer — and stronger — route is original characters in an anime-inspired style, or designs drawn from Saudi culture, dialect and local humour. Original work builds a brand nobody can copy, and protects your own rights too.

From drawing to a product that sells

  1. Start small: print 5–10 designs in low quantities and test them with your audience.
  2. Know your unit cost: sticker + packaging + shipping + platform fees, then add your margin. Our sticker printing cost guide and sticker printing prices page help you plan.
  3. Create bundles: a sheet plus three single stickers at a better price than buying separately.
  4. Drop a holographic edition: a premium version of your best seller. See our holographic sticker guide and holographic die-cut stickers.
  5. Brand your packaging: a clear sleeve and a small card with your name and handle turns a sticker into a real product.
  6. Make it official: if you sell regularly as an individual in Saudi Arabia, look into the freelance permit on the Freelance platform.

Artist Sticker FAQs

What is the difference between kiss-cut and die-cut stickers?

Die-cut stickers are cut through the sticker and backing along the artwork outline. Kiss-cut stickers are cut through the sticker only, leaving a square backing that is easy to peel and can carry your logo.

What is the best material for laptop and bottle stickers?

Waterproof vinyl, because it withstands daily handling, water and heat. Paper stickers suit planners, journals and packaging.

Can I sell stickers of famous anime characters?

Famous characters are owned by their creators, and selling their artwork or logos without permission can cause intellectual property issues. Original characters are the safer choice.

What file resolution do I need for stickers?

At least 300 DPI at actual size, or a vector file (PDF, AI or SVG), with a 2–3 mm white border around the artwork.

How many stickers should a new artist order?

Start with a small test run of several designs to gauge demand, then reorder larger quantities of best sellers to lower the unit cost.
